Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Loam, including the Loam web app at app.loamapps.com (and any installed copy of that app), apps Loam generates for you, and our website at loamapps.com (collectively, the "Service"). Loam is operated by Strata Sense Labs ("Loam," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Loam. If you are under 18, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.

Your account

You need an account to use most of the Service. You may register with an email address and password, or sign in with Google. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly at support@loamapps.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

The Service

Loam is a web application you can use in a browser or install on your device. It lets you create, customize, store, and share personal apps. Features may include AI-assisted app generation and revision, data storage for your apps, photo and dataset attachments, importing from links or pasted text, sharing links, optional AI actions inside generated apps, and optional paid subscriptions. We may add, change, or remove features at any time. Usage limits apply and depend on your plan.

Generated apps are hosted separately from the Loam account interface. They are provided for your personal use through the Service and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a particular purpose.

The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use unless we agree otherwise in writing. You may not resell, sublicense, or operate the Service as a competing product or service.

Your content and apps

You retain ownership of the apps, text, images, datasets, and other material you submit or create through Loam ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute User Content solely as needed to operate, improve, and secure the Service — including generating, revising, and serving your apps and share links.

You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit User Content and that your use of the Service does not violate any law or third-party rights. You are responsible for reviewing apps and outputs before relying on them, and for the content you put into apps you create or share.

AI features

Loam uses third-party AI services to help design, build, revise, import into, and answer questions about apps, and to power optional AI actions inside generated apps. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your needs. You are responsible for reviewing apps and outputs before relying on them. Do not submit sensitive information you do not want processed by AI providers.

Sharing

When you share an app, recipients may view preview information and add a copy of that app to their own Loam collection. Sharing does not give recipients access to your live personal data in the original app. You control what you share and with whom. We are not responsible for how recipients use shared apps once you share them.

Recipients may report a shared app and, optionally, block the sharer. We review reports and may remove content, revoke share links, or suspend accounts that we reasonably believe violate these Terms or pose risk to others. We do not pre-screen every app before it is built or shared.

Subscriptions and purchases

Some features require a paid subscription (currently Loam Plus and Loam Pro). Current prices, limits, and billing periods are shown in Loam under Your Plan. Purchases are processed by Stripe. Pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation, refunds, and payment disputes are handled according to Stripe's terms and policies, in addition to these Terms. We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel before the renewal date through Your Plan → Manage subscription in Loam (the Stripe customer portal). A cancellation through the portal takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Deleting your Loam account cancels an active Stripe subscription on that account immediately. We may change subscription features, tiers, or pricing for future billing periods where permitted by applicable law.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, fraudulent, or abusive purposes
• Upload malware, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or interfere with the Service
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service except as allowed by law
• Create apps or content that infringe intellectual property or privacy rights
• Harass, threaten, or exploit others through apps or sharing features
• Circumvent usage limits, subscription entitlements, or security measures
• Use imports, generated apps, or AI features to collect others' data without authorization, or to build a competing service

We may investigate violations and suspend or terminate accounts or remove content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms or poses risk to the Service or others.

Intellectual property

Loam, our logos, branding, software, and other materials we provide are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks or branding except as part of normal use of the Service.

Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, AI, analytics, crash reporting, payments, and other functions. Your use of those services may be subject to their separate terms and policies. If you sign in with Google, Google's terms also apply to that sign-in.

Termination

You may stop using Loam at any time and may delete individual apps or your entire account from within the app. Accounts that sign in only with Google currently complete account deletion by emailing privacy@loamapps.com from the address on the account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED APPS WILL BE ACCURATE OR FIT FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LOAM AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Loam and its affiliates from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your User Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Except where prohibited, you agree that disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
